My Story

When you’re the one everyone relies on, it’s hard to admit you’re struggling too.

You carry so much in that invisible backpack — hopes, expectations, guilt, duty.

You don’t have to keep running on empty — there’s a gentler way

It’s no wonder you feel so tired — carrying this much for so long would wear anyone down.

With me, therapy feels like a real conversation — relaxed, human, and sometimes a bit messy.

A space where you can finally put the backpack down and start to breathe again.

The Backpack You’ve Been Carrying

It keeps everything together — but it’s wearing thin.

You show up for everyone. You teach, support, fix, guide.

And meanwhile your own battery is whispering “low”.

Maybe you’ve noticed:

→ Always needing to perform, even when you're exhausted

→ Guilt for even thinking of putting yourself first

→ That voice whispering you’re not enough

→ Comparing yourself with every colleague, feed, friend→ Feeling responsible for others, with no space left for you

You’re not alone in this. Many of the teachers and professionals I work with feel the same way before reaching out. The pressure to always achieve and meet expectations.

What Changes When You Put the Backpack Down

Imagine feeling lighter, calmer, and more yourself again.

Therapy is a space where you can:
Finish a school day and actually switch off — with energy left for yourself, not just your to-do list.

Say no without guilt, and yes to what matters most.
Feel more confident in your own voice, instead of second-guessing every choice.
Have space for calm, humour, and connection again.

You don’t have to keep holding it all together on your own. Change starts by giving yourself permission to pause and talk honestly about what’s really going on.

And even when you finally put that backpack down for the night, your mind doesn’t stop. The laptop’s still open — too many tabs, too many thoughts.

Therapy with me isn’t stiff or clinical. It’s human.Clients often say it feels more like a conversation than “being in therapy.”

You can turn up as you are — tired, tangled, or unsure. There’s no pressure to find the perfect words. We’ll work together to make sense of things at your pace, in plain English, without the jargon.

If your week’s been rough, you can say that here — no need to sugarcoat it. This is your space to be honest, messy, and real.

That constant ‘on’ mode wears you down — and it’s hard to remember what calm even feels like.

Therapy that’s real, not robotic.

When the Laptop Won’t Switch Off

You’re physically home, but your mind’s still marking, planning, worrying — it doesn’t know how to close the day

Teaching isn’t a 9–3 job. It’s like closing your laptop at the end of the day, but it keeps whirring. Too many tabs open — lessons, marking, guilt, comparison. The battery’s running low, but you keep pushing.

What teachers might notice:

Before therapy, life can feel like this:
→ Always “on,” even late at night
→ Replaying conversations until your head’s full
→ Running on low energy but unable to rest
→ Comparing yourself and never feeling “enough”

After therapy, it can start to feel more like this:
→ Switching off properly at the end of the day
→ Energy recharging instead of draining
→ Fewer tabs open — space to think clearly
→ Feeling calmer, more confident, and more yourself again

It doesn’t have to stay this way. You can close a few tabs — and feel like you again.

If your backpack feels too heavy or your laptop never switches off, it’s time to do something about it. Counselling can help you find balance again.
